Ce magnifique temple dorique doit sa parfaite conservation au fait qu'il fut transformé en église au VIè siècle. Les colonnes s'amincissent pour paraître plus hautes et sont renflées au 2/3 de leur hauteur pour éviter un effet d'amincissement. Devant, on peut admirer « Icare tombé », œuvre en bronze de l'artiste Igor Mitoraj.
This magnificent Doric temple owes its perfect preservation to the fact that it was transformed into a church in the 6th century. The columns taper to appear taller, and are bulging at 2/3 of their height to avoid a thinning effect. In front, you can admire "Icarus Fallen", a bronze work by artist Igor Mitoraj.
