J'ai omis de vous conter à tous la légende de St Cado... à l'origine était érigée une petite chapelle sur un ilot rocheux isolé de la terre, à marée haute, par la ria d'Etel, cette chapelle serait du 12ème siècle, elle est mentionnée dans un ouvrage de Debuisson-Aubenay en 1636.
Le curé, St Cado, voulait un pont pour relier l'ilot à la terre mais manquant de moyens il fit appel à Satan. Celui-ci lui propose son aide à condition de lui accorder l'âme du 1er être vivant qui passerait sur ce pont. St Cado accepte, le démon crée l'ouvrage en une nuit. Au petit matin St Cado encourage un chat à passer le pont ! Satan ne devait pas s'y attendre, mais ce fût ainsi !
Ce pont a été classé en état de péril en 2007, grâce à 400 généreux donateurs, mécènes et fondations, la commune a pu restaurer le pont dont les frais étaient estimés à 650000 euros.
Et cette petite maison aux volets bleus a été surnommée la maison de l'huitre, elle était autrefois la demeure d'un gardien de parcs ostréicoles et de sa famille.

I forgot to tell you all about the legend of St Cado...
originally a small chapel was erected on a rocky island isolated from the ground, at high tide, by the ria d'Etel, this chapel would be from the 12th century, it is mentioned in a work by Debuisson-Aubenay in 1636.
The priest, St Cado, wanted a bridge to connect the island to the land but lacking the means he appealed to Satan. This one offers him his help on the condition of granting him the soul of the 1st living being who would pass over this bridge. St Cado accepts, the demon creates the work in one night. In the early morning St Cado encourages a cat to cross the bridge! Satan must not have expected this, but it was so !
This bridge was classified in a state of danger in 2007, thanks to 400 generous donors, patrons and foundations, the municipality was able to restore the bridge, the costs of which were estimated at 650,000 euros.
And this small house with blue shutters has been nicknamed the oyster house, it was once the home of an oyster park keeper and his family.
