From 1964 on the Swiss company Saurer, built this 2 DM for the Swiss Army. The empty weight is 7.1t and the payload is 4.9t. The Saurer CT3D engine makes 135hp. This type of truck is used for transporting up to 34 soldiers, horses or freight.
Other 2 DM for the Swiss Army were built with a hydraulic ramp or as a tipper, tanker, snow plow, slope cleaner or long wood transporter.
