iPhone Haiku 2 Dovecote Dreaming
I rise to greet the day
my home is here
will I stay or fly away
***
This second iPhone Haiku shot was taken in Motcombe Gardens, Eastbourne, near where I live. I walked through here on my way to the local post office.
When I showed this one to my Dad in his nursing home, he liked it a lot, and he remembered when he and my Mum used to walk in here before they came in to visit me for a cup of tea.
Recently restored, the archaeology showed that this dovecote dated from the time of Henry VIII. So I have paired this work with "Have You Seen The Bright Lily Grow" by Sting, from his 'Songs of The Labyrinth' Album, featuring the music of John Downland.
