I am halfway to heaven

Halfway to a song

Is this what you see

I am floating in the slipstream

Am I really me

Is this what we become

A race against time and matter

Before we are all done

Why do I wait here

Why do I stay

Is there something missing

My heart does not say

All I know is that I cling here

Waiting out my days

 

A spirit's perspective is not necessarily ours, anchored to the ground...
