I'm certain that this shot has been done to death, as I'm not exactly the first person to visit this part of the world. The car park was almost full at 5:45am! I'll take it as good practice until I get better at planning (and fitter for long hikes!)

 

Quite a subdued shot. I was hoping for more from the sunrise, but I don't think the clouds were high enough for that. I also don't think Portra is the right film for this sort of thing either, but I'll take what I can get. I have a some Velvia 50 in the fridge but I'm scared of it. Once I'm more confident I'll give it a go.

 

if you look closely you can see a few early morning walkers using the footpath. It shows scale quite well I think.

 

For reference the furthest peak is Lose Hill, and is approximately 2km away as the crow flies.
