Reproducing Raptor
Ospreys have returned to their nesting sites in Southeastern Ontario, spending quality time perched side-by-side, with the males occasionally parting company to fetch and organize nest building material or fish for the female who’s nearly permanently guarding the nest. That routine is frequently broken by copulation which can be described as just being short of fatal attraction considering the male’s balancing act with its sharp talons in the way.
