Puzzle Knot / Burr Puzzle

Thanks to rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-126134,

I discovered that this puzzle knot is actually called a "Burr puzzle".

 

I have some of these puzzles at home, and I've thought of recreating this one before. The solution of 'aquarian' gave me the proper hint for the geometry of the Lego-based variant.

 

I gave myself one extra challenge: make it completely smooth. So, no studs, no anti-studs. Turns out that several bricks can be nice helpers for stud reversal.
