Cobb Doc's Ranch Vineyard - Pommard & 114 Selection Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Winery Notes- Doc’s Ranch is named after the road where the original Swan planting resides about two blocks from Coastlands. Similar to the pairing of Emmaline Ann and Monticue, Doc’s and Coastlands are neighbors in both climate and geology. The first 1.5-acre planting of Swan selection was put in the ground in 1998 by Peter Marsh. In the early aughts Bryon Sheets purchased the property from Mr. Marsh and went on to plant an additional 7.8 acres of Pinot and Chardonnay in 2011. In 2017 we split the vineyard into two clonal pairings Pommard & 114 along with Swan & Calera. This kind of granular look at the property and its plant material is a luxury as we learn what this site has to offer. visit: www.thewinestop.com/wines/sonoma-county.html
