Here's what it is possible to capture by pointing a camera at the Zenith in early August each year. I took this photo in August 2022 with a total exposure of 1 hour 40 minutes at ISO 1600. The red nebulosity is the signature of hydrogen (H-alpha spectral line). Nièvre. Bortle 2. Canon camera, 20 mm lens at F 3.2
