"The ancient Orokia-Ultron route has long been interrupted by the conflict. The Ultron government is organizing an invasion with its space fleet at the most strategic point for reestablishing the trade route: the Sealton star system and its fortress moon. This is the only stable zone for spaceships to pass through, forming a funnel; all around are meteor storms, black holes, and unpredictable space-time distortions caused by phenomena that are not entirely clear, presumably linked to cosmic warp activity. The fact is that the Sealton Council does not recognize Ultron's authority and is preparing to resist. In anticipation of the impending battle, the engineers on Sealton's fortress moon have developed a new frame model: the Jaeger".

Si tratta dell'unica zona stabile per il passaggio delle astronavi, che forma un imbuto di passaggio; tutt'intorno, tempeste di meteore, buchi neri e imprevedibili deformazioni spazio-temporali causate da fenomeni non del tutto chiariti, si presume legati alle attività cosmiche del warp. Sta di fatto che il Concilio di Sealton non riconosce l'autorità di Ultron, e si prepara ad opporre resistenza. In vista dell'imminente battaglia, i tecnici della luna fortezza di Sealton hanno realizzato un nuovo modello di frame: Jaeger".
