Prompt Project #20: Dream... (A nightmare it would seem)

I woke to see

A sea of books

They're all mine

In each and every nook

 

I am a writer

Of horror you see

This is the worst thing

That could happen to me

 

My library is soaked

The books will never dry

Each page is ruined

And that makes me want to cry

 

I turn to see

A light over yond'

I flutter my eyes

And see the sunlight's dawn

 

I am so relieved

It was just a dream

I was so scared

And wanted to scream

 

Now I can relax

And keep on writing

With pencil in hand

And my protagonists hiding

 

I write horror

I am a witch taboot

But that makes for another story

Maybe YOUR character will get the loot
