The Temple Of Hadrian - Ephesus (Turkey)
The small and temple-like monument donated by P. Vedius Antoninus Sabinus honoured Emperor Hadrian (AD 117–138) according to a building inscription. The columnar collocation in front of the cult room carries a so-called Syrian pediment. The reliefs over the lentil depicting the Ephesian foundation myth belong to a late antique rebuilding. Around AD 300 statues of Emperors Diocletian, Constantius, Maximianus and Theodosius I were erected, of which inscribed bases are preserved. (Source: selcuk.bel.tr/icerik/64/26/hadrian-tapinagi.aspx)
