M91 (NGC4548) é uma galáxia espiral barrada. Tem o nome de barrada devido a presença de bilhões de estrelas, gás e poeira alinhados e dando a impressão da existência de uma barra que atravessa o centro da galáxia. O final da barra é onde se iniciam as espirais da galáxia.

 

M91 (NGC 4548) is a barred spiral galaxy. It is called “barred” due to the presence of billions of stars, gas, and dust aligned in a way that creates the impression of a bar crossing the galaxy’s center. The ends of the bar are where the galaxy’s spiral arms begin.

 

- Exposures: 29 Ligth Frames of 300s, 13 darks. Used L-Pro filter. 2h25m minutes total exposure. Processing on Pixinsight. Bortle 1

- Scope: Sky-Watcher 200p (200/1000mm) with GSO 1.1 Comma Corrector
