Dubs Hut (Explored)
This old hut is built from the slate of the mine it sits in, overlooking Buttermere. The path to Haystacks leads on here.
I walked up from Honister and popped inside. It’s changed since I was last here about 6 years ago. There are now wooden sleeping platforms and a wood stove. Luxury! I wanted to go to the Warnscale Bothy as well - it’s even more photogenic - but the river was in spate and we turned back. It will still be there the next time.
