primordial dawn (Explored)

You can guess what this formation is called just round the coast from Balintoy Harbour on the Antrim coast of Northern Ireland. Did you guess Elephant Rock? I walked round the day before and couldn't help a giggle at just how elephanty it is. There's a story about a mammoth being caught in the lava from a volcanic eruption. Nice yarn. There are so many interesting rock formations and sea arches around here, and it's only a short drive from the famous Giant's Causeway.

I had left my filters at home so rushed round here before dawn to get a long exposure, with the water like mist being my idea, and I'm pleased at how it turned out.

There was a photography group from Sweden staying in same place as us, and the leader said it was the third he'd brought over in ht last year. I was rather surprised as I always think of Scandinavia as having awesome landscapes, but round here is pretty impressive too I guess.
