Hare's Gap
Hare's Gap is a col at 450m in the Mourne Mountains, County Down, Northern Ireland. I go for a walk with friends in the Mournes every New Year's Eve, and this time it was rather damp. It was drizzling when I took this shot, too chilly to hang around long at the top of Slieve Bearnagh and proper rain at the next col.
By the time we got back to the car park we were soggy but glad to have made the effort, with enough time to make it home before dark for the big night. The views at the top of Bearnagh are great - when it's not cloudy (it's cloudy pretty often in Northern Ireland). No photos worth sharing from up there on this trip, so it was a bit of a waste carting my long lens up!
