Midnight in the Underworld

Hey guys, I built another cyberpunk build. I haven’t uploaded in a while because of the size, and only spending about an hour a day working on it.

(Title pronounced ON-TEE-ON)

HOW I BULIT IT:

I started with the two stalls near the satellite dish, building the shopkeepers and the sign greenling. I used the jay arcade machine as a shop, taking inspiration from Finn Roberts “Shift Change at Pier 3”. I built the walkway above them, and then the moai head next to the arcade stall. I built the empty shop, then the wall behind it, then the two far left shops. The balcony-walkway is help up flimsily on its own when I built the stairs up to the right hand walkway. The stairs are built on a ladder, using multiple 1x3 plates with clips underneath as steps. I built the closed-off-shop and a wall to connect it to the walkway, and then started on the 2nd story alley. I then built a wall of the 2014 train set 60051 and surrounded it with curved windows to show a train passing through the subway. I then built the Japanese kanji “肉”, which means “meat”. I couldn’t find room for a meat shop, so I improved. I then finished the top off and added all the final touches.

FUNNY STORY:

Before the photo shooting, my friend offered to come over and I told him to bring his fog machine. About 2 photos in, the fog had triggered the fire alarms because of the small room, and set everyone in the house into panic. We unplugged it and left the window open for the rest of the shoot, but I thought that was pretty funny.

PREPARATION:

There was no prior preparation like all my projects up-to-date, and was all on the spot. I say this worked well for the first level, but not so much going up.

QUESTION:

Do you guys prefer one big build that takes long to release, or a small build that takes less time?

THANK YOU!

Thanks for your support! I’m only a freshman as of now and want to reach a true master builder level, and so far has been going good!
