RoadRailer Finale – The Final Shot
Here is my final head-end shot of the Triple Crown RoadRailer.
After the air issues were resolved, 255 crept out of Bluffs. Noticing the slow speed, I quickly looked to google maps to try and squeeze in one last shot. We hauled ass to this spot a little west of Bluffs, and stood on a big tie pile for elevation. The engineer seemed to be enthused that we were at the same hight as him, so he gave us a big wave out the window. After it passed this crossing, 255 would stop until I believe sunset due to the foamer madhouse at Valley City. I planned to avoid that spot for that very reason. Seeing the final rays of sun on this train was pretty special.
