Happy Bday
For the July Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero, Create a Card for a Friend, and this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, Cute Critters. I used the hexagon pattern stamp from the Hero Arts Tiling Textures set to stamp flexible modeling paste onto the card. I had originally tried stamping into the modeling paste but the result did not look at all like hexagons, so I scraped the paste off and tried stamping what was on the stamp on the other side of the the watercolor paper (can't waste it) and, voilà, hexagonal texture! Once it was dry I colored the panel with Lindy's Magicals, Yellow Rose of Texas and Teenie Weenie Bikini. The bees are from the Hero Arts Bees and Flowers die set, and the die cut letters are from the discontinued Spellbinders How Does Your Garden Grow alphabet. I stamped the happy (from Altenew) with StazOn ink. Since it turned out as bright as a summer sunflower, I'm also entering it in the July AAA Birthday Challenge, Summer Birthday.
