The Sentinels

This was taken In Masai Mara National Park on my first safari. I wanted to take some minimalist images with animals isolated against the sky/horizon. This small hilltop was the perfect viewpoint for these giraffe to watch for predators while grazing. It also created a nice silhouette opportunity that I was looking for. It was harder to get a shot like this with giraffe than I expected. They spend a lot more time than I realized feeding amongst trees and bush, which create busy backgrounds.
