- This is from a series of six photos taken of the very last F-4 Phantoms to depart RAF Lakenheath. This was part of Operation READY SWITCH, the plan that traded the 48th TFW's F-4Ds with F-111Fs en masse. All of the Wing and squadron markings have been removed in perparation for the transfer.

 

- The date on the slides says August 1977.
