- Notes on the slide state it was taken at RAF Lakenheath in August 1981.

 

- The photo gives a great shot of the base while the Hardened Aircraft Shelters (HAS) were being constructed to protect the F-111s.

 

- The F-4E in the foreground (serial 73-1195) was visiting from Ramstein Airbase, Germany. It was assigned to the 526th TFS, 86th TFW.
