Grim Reapers

Vultures always at the ready for the weak, old, or unprotected.

 

Pousada Piuval is a 7000 hectacre working cattle ranch with lodge accommodations for tourists visiting the Pantanal.

 

As this is south of the equator, Spring was arriving along with newborn calves. Vultures will begin to harass a calf if mother wanders too far away.
