More than 18,000 people took part in Deutsche Post's online voting as part of the stamp painting competition for children on the subject of "protecting the planet".

 

25 percent chose the flower motif of 7-year-old Niklas from the district of Fürstenfeldbruck (Bavaria), which took first place and will be published on July 7, 2022 as the official "Germany" stamp. It will also be the first self-painted postage stamp to be issued in Germany by a child.
