Brown Eyed Girl

Unusually this barn owl appears to have brown eyes? Maybe recovering from an injury, a trick of the light or a genetic ’thing’? Either way, it didn’t appear to affect the owl, as it hunted successfully & I consider myself privileged & fortunate to observe & photograph it in glorious early morning light.
