Red Phalarope

Despite the name, non-breeding adult plumage is grey/white with the distinctive black eye-patch. Two such birds were feeding off the bay side of Filey Brigg today giving reasonable views, although the lack of contrast with the grey seas and sky proved a challenge for my camera skills.
