Kanyakubj, also known as Kannauj, is a sub-caste of the Hindu Brahmins, and a part of the larger Kayasth community. They are the descendants of the Kanyakubj Brahmins, who originated in the city of Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh, India.

 

Kanyakubj matrimony is a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony performed by members of the Kanyakubj community. This type of wedding is most popular amongst the Kanyakubj caste and its derivatives, such as the Saraswat and Gaud Brahmin.
