JWST - Stephan’s Quintet - MIRI - Magnification and reconstruction via AI
Reconstruction using our artificial intelligence model of the photo acquired by the JWST through MIRI (Mid-Infrared Instrument). This composite image has one more MIRI filter than the one used for the NIRCam-MIRI hybrid composite image. Image processing specialists at the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore chose to use all three MIRI filters and the colours red, green and blue to more clearly differentiate the characteristics of the galaxies from each other and the shock waves between the galaxies. The file is available at 522.75 million pixels for download at a resolution of 25000x20910 pixels.
