Bepi Colombo - ESA/JAXA Probe - Monitoring Camera 2 - June 23,2022

Reconstruction of the image taken during the overflight of Mercury by the ESA/JAXA probe Bepi Colombo during the second gravitational assist manoeuvre on Mercury, which took place on 23 June 2022 at 09:49:22 UTC. This manoeuvre is necessary to reach Mercury's orbit permanently, and four more will be needed. Finally, the probe will reach Mercury's orbit permanently on 5 December 2025. Our artificial intelligence model was used to improve the resolution to 15000x15000 pixels. The document can be downloaded from this page at a resolution of 225 million pixels.
