Crucifix-2010.444_print

Crucifix- created in Democratic Republic of the Congo by the Kongo people in the late 1800s to early 1900s is a unique religious sculpture made of copper, wood and iron is in the African Art Collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art. The height of the sculpture is 17 ⅝ in. and its width is 8 ¾ in. (22.2 cm). Crucifix was purchased from Leonard C. Hanna Jr. Fund, 2010; the accession number in 2010.444. The sculpture can be encountered in Gallery 108A at the Cleveland Art Museum. This image is public domain.
