Small Sawblade Clock
I engraved a 7" circular saw blade for my brother with some old tractor patent drawings. This project took place over a number of months beginning in November 2022 and completing in March 2023. The saw blade made a trip to Boise, ID and back because I intended to send him the movement and back piece but wasn't able to finish that until he came back to Tucson to visit in March. This picture shows the final configuration of the clock. He embellished the engraving with silver and then re-painted the hands to match.
The engraving on this saw blade was done with the 455 nm 20 Watt xTool D1 module. I think the 1064 nm module gives better detail, but this engraves more deeply.
The clock movement and hands came from Bear Woods (www.bearwood.com). They have movements made in the USA. Mostly happy with the movement, but the setting mechanism is a bit rough.
