Rainy Day Container Train
On a dreary April morning, UP 8595 leads Union Pacific's weekly high priority container train westbound through the trees of the Castlewood Country Club in the outskirts of Pleasanton, California. Despite the rainy conditions, this didn't slow down the train and it flew by me at track speed, blowing water and cool wind onto my face while I held my camera beneath my jacket to protect it from the elements. With my car on the otherside other side of the tracks, I had to wait out the whole thing and walked back soaking wet, but was it worth it? Of course!
