Basin with Inscribed Figures and Calligraphy

The basin is a metalwork made of bronze material and from the Korean Art collection. It is 17 cm and has a diameter of 21.7 cm (8 9/16 IN.). It dates back to the Goryeo period and credited by Leonard C. Hanna, Jr. Fund. It is highly possible the dish's purpose was to contain purified water. Images of a child and four-line poems in the Korean language are inscribed, possibly by Buddhist monks.
