Deity Earrings with Vishnu on Garuda (Front) and chepu (monster mask) (back)

Founded and created circa 1600s or 1700s in the Nepal, Kathmandu Valley, the earrings are 9.5 x 9.6 cm (3 ¾ x 2 11/16 in) in size and diameter made of precious and semi-precious gems and gold. Placed on a Nepalese temple rather than worn by a person. It depicts a green Vishnu (seen in the center) being surrounded by blue figures identified as celestial beings, praising the creature.
