Piano, that you transmute me into wind,
that you elevate my soul in my rapture,
that you change everything violent in calm
and the peaceful violent making it bloody.
Touching you I know that I still feel
that I am only spirit and thought,
that I live, that I die at all times,
that in me there is no longer any suffering.
Your music opens me to knowledge;
you break and break me, you make me fragments.
A thousand enchantments spring from your keys,
