Textile Technology
The Textile Technology unit taught all about fabrics that are used for garments and their individual properties. This gave a deeper understanding of why different textiles are chosen for different types of garments, and the importance of making the right choice.
For part of this unit, three moodboards each depicting a different type of garment for a different end user were produced. They had to detail the fabric selections (and the justifications for these selections) for a children’s raincoat, a women’s overcoat, and a women’s babydoll dress.
