May 2023: I was very excited to hear that the Pin-tailed Wydah had been seen again in Singapore this year. Great weather this morning enabled everyone to get great pics of the courtship display. Truly stunning to photograph and observe.

It performs an aerial mating dance with hovering flight above the female during which the tail is flicked up and down while it sings continuously. It performs circular flights while dancing and vibrating. Displays occur low over the ground”
