Pipe in the Form of an Owl - 1979.13_print

This owl-shaped pipe was crafted out of stone and comes from the Copena Culture, suspected to be from the Tennessee area. The pipe sits at 9.6 x 5 x 17.7 cm and is from the James Albert and Mary Gardiner Ford Memorial Fund. It is unclear whether the pipe is an authentic piece from around 100-600 A.D. or if it is a much more recent 20th century recreation. The pipe is currently not on view at the Cleveland Museum of Art. This image is public domain and can be found on the museum's website.
