Last Call
AKA "When good sunsets meet New Rules". Last night I saw the sky turning pretty colors so on the spur of the moment I thought I would head down to the lake that is a few minutes drive from my house, since it is a lovely place to watch sunsets. It is part of a city park that in the past has closed "at sunset". Which has usually meant a little past that since it is a popular place to watch them.
However, when I arrived at the lake, I saw new signs had been installed saying that the gates were now locked at 6:30pm, and the parks department staff were herding everyone to the parking lot. So I had to turn around and head back home. By the time I got home, the brightest colors of the sunset were already fading, although there were still some interesting purplish tones in the sky. I ended up taking a few shots from the top of the hill in my neighborhood.
