Mount Rainier and the Goat Rocks, Mount Rainier National Park, Washington
Continuing around the Naches Peak Loop trail, on the south side the trail disconnects fro the PCT and crosses into Mount Rainier National Park. This section contains many spectacular views of The Mountain and the surrounding peaks. There was wildfire haze hanging over the mountains to the south and Mount Saint Helens wasn't visible but it can often be seen from this trail on a clear day.
This part of the trail takes me a long time to hike because there are so many (slightly) different views of Mount Rainier and I seem to feel compelled to stop at all of them for photos!
