Tibshelf Weighing Machine Sidings Signal Box Track Diagram

I visited this box on 12 April 1966. I visited 5 boxes that day, see my "boxes visited" log.

On checking my drawing of the box diagram it became evident that I hadn't made a good job of drawing the sidings. There were actually 14 sidings, not 15 and my drawing of the sidings layout is not totally accurate. So, if anyone out there has the original track diagram which would have been in the box on 12 April 1966 I would very much like to see a photo of it to include here, if possible.

Some dates:

18 April 1866 - First box opened.

3 February 1901 - "Box raised".

25 May 1902 - Replacement box (this).

6 November 1966 - Up and Down Passenger lines between Tibshelf East and South Junctions closed.

Changes were made such that all trains from Tibshelf East Jcn had to run through the sidings. The Up Goods between points 3 and 21 was removed. Points 3 (left) were plain lined to route trains from Tibshelf East Junction towards the sidings. Points 3 (right) remained to enable connection into the headshunt line.

The Tibshelf South Jcn points, bolt-locked by this box lever 25, were removed.

Points 21 (right) were plain lined in favour of the headshunt past signal 22. Points 21 (left) remained in use as connection from siding 1 to headshunt.

Signals 1, 20, 24 & 26 were removed.

2 March 1969 - Box closed - points 3 removed, points 6 became worked by the new Tibshelf East Jn box, all siding points became handpoints.

I didn't take any photos of the box. However there's an external photo of the box here www.flickr.com/photos/192151030@N08/52547026494/in/album-...

There's also a photo of "Tibshelf Sidings" (with the Weighing Machine Sidings box in the background). www.flickr.com/photos/192151030@N08/52546265797/in/album-...

"Tibshelf Sidings" was just a shunter's shelter although there had been a box of that name about halfway between Tibshelf South Junction and Westhouses Station boxes, but not a blockpost. It opened 22 September 1901 with an unknown closure date. Conjecture would be that the structure was moved here?

A Robin Stewart-Smith photo of the sidings, taken in 1983, is here www.flickr.com/photos/154596801@N04/39607732844/in/photol...

The quite accurate location of the box was 442422 (Easting) 358715 (Northing), seen here on the NLS maps maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by-side/#zoom=16.0&lat=5...

A more detailed 25 inch to the mile map is here maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by-side/#zoom=16.0&lat=5...
