Tibshelf South Junction Train Register Book_Monday 12 December 1955

I have one of the box Train Register Books covering the dates 26 November 1955 to 3 January 1956. Quite a lot of engine numbers are recorded. Of interest is this page for Monday 12 December 1955. On the Up and Down pages that day 4 Beyer Garratt 2-6-0 + 0-6-2 engines were recorded:

 

UP - 47988 passes on Up Goods at 5.10pm for Wellingborough

DOWN - 47984 passes on Down Goods at 3.15pm

DOWN - 47981 passes on Down Goods at 4.11pm

DOWN - 47999 passes on Down Goods at 5.30pm

I never saw any of the Beyer Garratt locos, they were withdrawn before I became interested in railways:

47981 was withdrawn from Toton w/e 3 November 1956.

47984 was withdrawn from Toton w/e 25 February 1956.

47988 was withdrawn from Hasland w/e 18 August 1956.

47999 was withdrawn from Toton w/e 28 January 1956.
