Dates:
1 March 1898 - Box opened with 45 lever S&F 4" Duplex tappet frame.
15 July 1928 - The junction was remodelled to be as per the layout in my diagram. The original layout is shown here www.flickr.com/photos/192151030@N08/52405603867/in/album-...
6 May 1968 - Teversal branch closed - 3 weeks before main line and I suspect this was a date when many colliery single side servicing agreements came into force.
The Weekly Operating Notice (WON) item for abandonment of the GN Teversal branch can be seen, starting here www.flickr.com/photos/192151030@N08/52464505608/in/album-...
26 May 1968 - Box and line closed.
I didn't take a photo of the box but one taken by Henry Priestley is here www.flickr.com/photos/192151030@N08/52406612728/in/album-...
I have a hand drawn diagram of the line between Sutton Town and Skegby Junction, dated 19 July 1946. It shows the arrangements for single line working using the down line if the up line was obstructed. This was part of a set given to me during a visit to Summit Colliery box. It is believed to have been used by a Guard and can be seen here www.flickr.com/photos/192151030@N08/52406612718/in/album-...
An additional link from a web site "Pictures from the Past" shows photos of Skegby Station and the signal box here
