Robin Hood Line Storyboard_12
Still on the "south-east" side of Kirkby tunnel, two views both of which include Warren House.
The top photo was taken on 28 January 1994.
The bottom one was on 15 February 1997. When the line opened there was, for a time, a path in the timetable which allowed a Saturday charter to use the line. We see 33116 "Hertfordshire Railtours" and 33051 "Shakespeare Cliff" climb the gradient with 1Z33, the 07:32 London King's Cross to Scarborough 33111 Charters "Robin Reliant"
The details can be seen here www.sixbellsjunction.co.uk/90s/970215tc.htm
(Shame the tour reviewer didn't appreciate the importance to the local community of the Robin Hood Line being opened !!)
