As I have said in my box diagram text the intention was never to stop just at a service to Bulwell, Hucknall and Newstead.
So, Stage 2 was planned and this flyer advises that work will start January 1994.
The flyer still quotes Regional Railways. However, as part of the privatisation between 1994 and 1997 Regional Railways was split into several different shadow train operating units. The unit which ran the Robin Hood Line Stage 2 from the outset was Central Trains which passed into the private sector on 2 March 1997. The franchise was awarded to National Express who maintained control of the company until its eventual demise in 2007.
