Mansfield South Junction - Tyers No.6 Single Line instrument

My photo taken on 24 May 1979.

Not the original machine which was installed in Mansfield South Junction. This is the 'C' type tablet machine moved here from Mansfield East Junction when that box closed on 11 December 1966.

The tablet tray is open and a tablet is in front of the bell plunger. The triangular hole in the centre (denoting a 'C' type configuration) can be clearly seen.

Two YouTube videos of the operation of Tyers No 6 machines are here:

1) www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qWIQBGv3Rs

This video was shot at St Albans South Signal Box and is 4 minutes long.

2) www.warwickshirerailways.com/misc/misc_equip236.htm

This link includes a photo of a 'B' pattern Tablet (with square hole in the centre), the type previously installed at Mansfield South Junction for the section to Mansfield East Junction.
