Tyers No. 6 Tablet
Mansfield Colliery Junction to Mansfield East (then South) Junction fibre tablet no. 17, configured as 'C' (triangular hole in centre).
When Mansfield East Junction box was abolished, the S&T transferred the pattern ‘C’ instrument from there to South Junction box, so replacing the original pattern ‘B’ instrument there. (Apparently this took 4 men and with not-inconsiderable effort!) The change is evident from the crude amendment over-stamped onto the pattern ‘C’ tablet, extending the validity from East Junction to South Junction.
Instead of changing out the whole machine couldn't they have just swapped the tablet tray?
