1) In January 2022 I added a new album "3V11 the 4.30pm Grimsby to Whitland fish train storyboard..... particularly Immingham 'Britannias'." In that album my aim was to show the journey of that fish train, utilising Working Time Table evidence to show the route information. The storyboard starts here www.flickr.com/photos/192151030@N08/51826235349/in/album-...

After an appeal via a Facebook Group I was kindly supplied with the timings for the Cardiff to Whitland element of the journey and I have made a temporary update to the text which can be seen here www.flickr.com/photos/192151030@N08/51819097570/in/album-...

2) In March 2022 I purchased a BR (ER) Working Time Table of Freight Trains, Doncaster Division. This covered the period 16th September 1957 to 8th June 1958. Within that WTT I discovered train 1272 (1.4pm New Clee to Banbury fish) was booked to stop at Gainsborough Central from 2.7pm to 2.41pm. This was for a water stop but also to detach.

This would be a/some fish van(s) for Gainsborough and explains why the train was routed that way, instead of going via Lincoln and Mansfield. The train travelled via the Waleswood Curve and joined the ex GC main line at Killamarsh Junction. It then proceeded towards Nottingham, passing Kirkby South Junction. The WTT extract can be seen here www.flickr.com/photos/192151030@N08/51986144614/in/album-...
