BR LMR Midland Lines 1960 Sectional Appendix extract: Propelling at Calvert.

When I became aware that 3V05 was routed via Calvert and Claydon LNE Jn I looked in my copy of the Midland Lines Appendix and saw that, although propelling of Freight trains was authorised between Calvert Station and Calvert Jn, it made no mention of the Branch to Claydon LNE Jn.

However the Western Lines Sectional Appendix does show authorisation between Calvert and Claydon LNE Jn as seen here www.flickr.com/photos/192151030@N08/51154562811/in/album-...

Woodford Halse men drove 3V05 from Leicester Central, going through to Calvert where they propelled the train round the curve to Claydon LNE Junction. At Claydon LNE Junction they uncoupled and went light engine back to Woodford Halse via Calvert. A Hall would be waiting at Claydon LNE Junction to take 3V05 forward.
